increase in April …. Can I refuse the new agreement?
When a credit card increases your APR, you still have the option not to accept the new conditions of the agreement and close the account right? I was wondering because all my credit cards have increased my interest rate during the last year for no reason. They said it was after they had reviewed my credit report, most recently they say they need to raise my APR of prime plus 11.99% "in response to economic activity and the environment. Usually the notice mentioned in small print that you can reject the terms by letter, but it does not work.
You can refuse the new APR, he closes the account and pay by initial mandate until the account is paid. Doing this will affect your credit score if, under what are your plans the coming months, you can not or would not do that.
