Is there any way to avoid getting an auto dealer license when selling used cars in the state of Washington?
In Washington State if you sell more than 4 used cars within a year you are required to get an auto dealer license, get bonded and set up an actual car lot with an office building, signage and regular business hours. I’m looking to buy and flip maybe 1 car a month. Is there any legal way around having to establish an actual dealership? Thanks for your help.
Yes, you can get 3 friends who can buy those 4 cars each per year, you can pay them 50.00 for each car they register in their name – and if that is worth it to you – 600.00 or get a license.
