career advice needed ..?

I hold a Master of Business Administration (Finance) and is currently working on field of finance in IT industry on the implementation of software for the past year. Now I'm moving to industry Financial Services Analyst. My profile will include a sector analysis and prepare reports for the use of media and other investors. It allows me to meet fund managers and so on. I'm interested in this field. Is this a good way to start my career in industry financial services? From where I can look forward to the future?
