Career Change – Tips on the passage of business development at IT?
I am an old woman of 25 who are interested to get a job as a computer professional, to work with networks, systems architecture, web applications, architecture information and systems analysis / organization. I need advice on: 1. What are the best resources to help in this area? 2. Education-What are the key classes beginner / training should I register? 3. With experience in business, what types of jobs that I should seek to get my foot in the door? 4. recommendations of the company? Background: Having worked in business development and account management for both in midsize business research and consulting as well as a small professional association nfp. He graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Business & international relations from one level of a school. Have a working knowledge of administering databases, HTML and computer general and related Web technologies.
Lauren is a difficult question to answer as it really depends on where your own personal strengths lie. If you are a great communicator written and verbal systems analyst / system architecture would be the best route. But if you're more interested in the technical aspects of computer networking application development / maybe your best route. I think you would feel better by looking for an IT job at the company where you work now, and let them pay for education. This will will save money and you get a higher quality of training and beginner classes will help you get promoted faster. Good luck, Chris-
