business administration majors
For a business administration major, would you recommend a retail, tech, or health care internship?

I am planning to go back to school and major in business administration. I want to start looking out for internship opportunities to boost my resume. I know health care was a safe choice, but now we may change the way we do insurance as a country. I am interested in retail and technology, but want something stable after I graduate. I would like to stay away from the entertainment business, if at all possible. Thank you guys!

With the aging US population, any career in health care is a safe bet for the long run – regardless of the change in the regulations. In fact, the change in regulations may open up more jobs/careers. The technology sector is another good choice. The problem is that the field is still concentrated in certain silicon ghetto, whereas healthcare jobs are in every state.

I would stay away from the retail sector, unless you really love a specific area like clothing or food. When the economy changes or shifts, the retail sector is the first to feel the effect.

Good luck.
